EOTECH Unveils Brand Portfolio

Following the success of its Vudu optics line and U.S. SOCOM award, EOTECH is creating three distinct brands: EOTECH, Vudu, and L3 Field Vision.
EOTECH Unveils Brand Portfolio

A couple of years ago, EOTECH began branching out from its well-known holographic sights and producing more traditional riflescopes under the Vudu line. This line quickly established a solid reputation in the optics market.

Meanwhile, in September 2018, the Department of Defense announced that L3 Technologies, parent company of EOTECH, was awarded a $26.3 million contract to supply EOTECH holographic weapon sights and G33 magnifiers to USSOCOM.

EOTECH is creating a brand portfolio with three distinct brands: EOTECH, Vudu, and L3 Field Vision.

“We are extremely proud to continue to provide America’s tip-of-the-spear warriors with the most advanced holographic sights in the world,” said Jeff Miller, Corporate Senior Vice President. “It’s a testament to L3’s commitment to quality that SOCOM has once again competitively selected EOTECH as their choice for battle optics.”

Following the success of Vudu and the massive SOCOM award, EOTECH has announced that it is creating a brand portfolio with three distinct brands: EOTECH, Vudu, and L3 Field Vision.

Vudu makes products for precision shooters; its optics will be marketed more to the tactical shooter than to hunters.

“The main driver in launching Vudu as a stand-alone brand is that it has quickly established a good foothold in the optics market thanks to a great reception both in the media and with the consumer,” said EOTECH spokesperson John Taranto. “Given its considerable growth and success in the two-plus years since its introduction, it only made sense to let it continue on its current trajectory as its own brand.”

L3 Field Vision will produce premium sporting optics marketed to hard-core big-game hunters, especially Western hunters — everything from binoculars and scopes to, eventually, laser rangefinders. The L3 Field Vision products are scheduled for an official launch at the 2020 SHOT Show.

EOTECH, as the third distinct brand, will continue to market holographic sights, night-vision equipment, and other items geared toward tactical, competitive, law enforcement and military use.
