Mystery Ranch Sews Face Masks for Medical Personnel on the Front Lines of the COVID-19 Pandemic

Mystery Ranch recently announced participation in a community-wide effort to build personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical personnel in the Gallatin Valley. Mystery Ranch has donated and is utilizing available materials from their US production floor to build protective face masks for the Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital.

“It’s been an awesome effort,” said Renee Sippel-Baker, COO and Co-Founder of Mystery Ranch. “With the help of other local manufacturers and the Gallatin Quilt Guild, we have come together as a community to provide support to our medical friends who are on the frontlines fighting the virus every day.”

Mystery Ranch first donated 300 yards of elastic and other materials to the Gallatin Quilt Guild, who has coordinated the mask building initiative. Recognizing the ability to do more, Mystery Ranch dedicated its employees and its sewing floor to building 500 masks.

The Allen Company Transitions Facilities to Help COVID-19 Fight

The Allen Company, who has been manufacturing outdoor gear for over 50 years, has transitioned their manufacturing capabilities to help fight against COVID-19. In an effort to better supply health care workers and first responders with much needed personal protective equipment (PPE) products, their normal cut and sew operations have been reengineered to begin manufacturing key emergency items. The company has already ramped up their manufacturing platforms, ensuring local community needs are addressed.

“We have been in business in the Broomfield, Colorado, community for the past 50 years. We felt as an organization that we needed to assist our local community in this time of need and do anything we can to help,” said Kelly Day, Director of Sales for The Allen Company.

 

PRADCO Outdoor Brands Ramps Up to Serve Medical Community With Donations

PRADCO Outdoor Brands is dedicating resources to serve the medical communities in Alabama, Arkansas and Oklahoma with donations of much-needed medical equipment.

At PRADCO Fishing, engineers have designed and formulated products that are currently being manufactured to give away to area hospitals, clinics and nursing homes

Face shields, frames and hand sanitizer are all designed in a collaborative effort with personnel at Baptist Health in Fort Smith.

The hand sanitizer is 75 percent isopropyl alcohol antiseptic and is being bottled on the YUM bait attractant line.

“I’m so proud of our employees for quickly figuring out how to get these needed items into production,” said Bruce Stanton, PRADCO Fishing’s Vice President and General Manager.

“Right now, isopropyl is in high demand and short supply. If we can get more drums of it, we can make more hand sanitizer to give away. We are also in need of 4 ounce or 6 ounce pump spray bottles. Versacarry Converts from Making Holsters to Emergency Masks and Face Shields for Medical, Emergency Workers

Versacarry, known for producing a popular line of quality leather handgun holsters, belts and other firearm related products, is in the process of converting their production facility from building holsters to producing face shields and face masks.

“When I saw and heard numerous reports that there was a critical shortage of face shields and face masks for medical and emergency workers, I knew that was something we could help with,” says Justin Sitz, CEO/Owner of Versacarry. “I redirected our development engineers from working on new products for the gun industry to develop products and production methods to produce these items critical for the healthcare and emergency response workers.”

Versacarry has switched their focus and production and will be shipping face masks and face shields shortly, with a weekly output of more than 20,000 of each item.

Gokey USA Contributes in The Fight Against Coronavirus

Gokey USA has joined the effort to slow the spread of coronavirus by converting a portion of their manufacturing capabilities to the production of protective facemasks, which will be donated to local medical facilities in Missouri and Iowa.

“This has been a team effort by everyone here at Gokey USA to see what we as a company can do to help our community and surrounding communities,” said Stacy Doss, the manager of Gokey’s Tipton, Missouri, facility.

The first week’s production of fabric surgical type masks was fully donated to the Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.

“We are extremely grateful and humbled by the support of Gokey Manufacturing for shifting their normal operations to provide masks for our facility,” said Gaspare Calvaruso, president of Capital Region Medical Center.
