Walther Arms has introduced a new member of its extensive tactical rimfire firearms. The HK G36 rifle is a licensed replica of the standard Heckler & Koch G36 assault rifle, the standard service rifle of the Bundeswehr, the German armed forces.

Walther’s HK G36 looks and feels very much like the real thing. Its lightweight polymer design features a folding stock and a Picatinny tactical rail for accessories. It has an ambidextrous external safety, adjustable rear sights, and fixed front sights. It has an 18-inch barrel and an overall length of 37.8 inches. Magazines have a 20-round capacity.

“The .22 caliber HK G36 is a perfect addition for us.” said Everett Deger, Marketing Director for Walther Arms, Inc. “This gives the consumer an affordable opportunity to experience a replica rifle used by German armed forces and infantry around the world. The G36 .22 is just fun, pure and simple.”

Rimfire tactical replicas are extremely popular with a wide range of shooters. The relatively inexpensive .22LR ammunition makes an afternoon of shooting affordable, while the lack of recoil makes it easily accessible to everyone, especially younger shooters or those new to firearms. The fun and excitement of shooting tactical guns from today and yesterday can be enjoyed by all.

In addition to the new HK G36 rifle, Walther’s tactical rimfire line includes the Colt 1911 pistol, the Colt M4 carbine, the HK MP5, the HK 416, and UZIs.

The HK G36 will have an MSRP of $599.
