Applied Ballistics Mobile App

Applied Ballistics, makers of advanced ballistics software available on a variety of platforms, has released an iOS version of their mobile app for use on iPhones, iPads, and iPods. Applied Ballistics Mobile for iOS allows Apple iPhone and tablet users to download the Applied Ballistics app which is already popular on Android devices.

“Applied Ballistics is thrilled to announce the release of this highly-sought iOS version of the Applied Ballistics mobile app,” stated Bryan Litz, President of the company.  “We have worked extensively on this product with intense development to ensure we continue to offer our loyal customers with a solution to their ballistics computing.  With the success of the Android version of the application — which was launched two years ago, the demand for the iOS version has been high, and we are excited to now offer a version that is compatible with iPhone as well.”

Applied Ballistics Mobile includes a point mass ballistic solver to calculate long-range trajectories and a library of ballistics coefficients provided by Litz, a former missile design engineer. The app displays single shot solutions in heads-up display or reticle view and multi-shot solutions in reticle, table, and graph views. Shooters can calibrate their app based on their own drops and muzzle velocity and drop-scaling over various segments of bullet flight are incorporated into the calculations to provide a ‘true’ trajectory. A web-sync feature allows shooters to store their personal rifle and ammunition information libraries online for quick retrieval and use by the app.

The app is available through the Apple iTunes store and costs $29.99. It requires iOS 7.0 or higher and is optimized for iPhone 5.
